This is me

Holistic physician. Author. Yogi. Reiki Master. Mother.

More than 10,000 patients. 25 years of medicine. 3 books...and countless stories.

Life has nourished me. In every way.

Today, my life's mission is to lovingly guide people toward lasting recovery, healing, well-being, self-care, and meaning.

The (8) foundations of my vision as a holistic physician

As a classically trained physician, I have broadened my vision of well-being and healing over the past 25 years. Inspired by all my patients, I have taken countless courses, attended conferences and workshops, and immersed myself in further self-study in holistic medicine. Today, I use my expertise, experience, and energy to give people hope, guidance, and a new direction in their search for a better quality of life.

Holistic approach
We look at you as a whole and not as the sum of your conditions or problems. This allows us to focus on you as an individual.
1
Multidisciplinary
As a physician, I consider all aspects of your life that influence your recovery and can draw on a range of traditional and/or complementary therapeutic disciplines to promote your well-being.
2
Individual care
We discuss individual interventions that suit your needs (biopuncture, neural therapy, reiki, etc.) and their safe and efficient implementation in your program.
3
Group care
Group dynamics can be useful for broadening perspectives and framing reality. This can be achieved through yoga sessions (live & online), residential retreats, or masterclasses.
4
Gaining insights
I want to offer everyone different options to gain insight; from inclusive one-on-one consultations, retreats, yoga sessions, books, to the free meditations from our "Nog-9-minuten" collective.
5
Focus on sustainable recovery
My goal is to break your cycle of hope and disappointment by focusing on your long-term well-being. Residential retreats offer the ideal mix of individual and group dynamics for lasting recovery.
6
You are the medicine
The body signals through illness when more well-being is needed. As a holistic doctor, I help you gain insight and learn what you can do to take control of your recovery and well-being.
7
Awareness and integration
My goal is to integrate well-being and recovery into your daily life, with your essence represented in every choice you make.

In 1998, my life changed after a car accident.

Shortly after completing my medical training, that crucial moment is still vivid in my memory: the shock, the pain, the confusion.

It led me to a new form of medicine and ultimately to recovery.

Personal struggles

Later, in my personal life, I experienced a different kind of confrontation. Despite the joy of having a child through IVF, my relationship went through difficult times due to a lack of balance between work and family. My struggle was not only about external circumstances, but mainly about my inner struggle. This resulted in burnout in 2015, but also brought yoga into my life.

The road to recovery was full of challenges

Now I understand that growth is not a straight path.

Through moments of silence, such as vipassana retreats and meditation, I have become more aware of deep-rooted beliefs. Learning to let go of emotions and growing confidence in my own worth is not merely a goal in itself. It is a journey of discovery to find out who you really are at your core.

During a collaborative project with Evi Hanssen and Hilde de Baerdemaeker to offer meditations during the pandemic, I realized that self-care was still a challenge for me.

Through meditation and many hours of introspection, I have rediscovered my inner strength and learned that true growth is a continuous journey toward self-love and self-care.

I want to take you on this fascinating journey!

Together, we will discover your personal patterns and learn how essential self-care and self-love are.

Because the core of every relationship begins with self-love.

Your recovery starts here.
